Ear Wax Removal
What does a Bloom Ear Wax Removal look like?
-
Physical Examination
Our clinician will begin with an otoscopy (a visual examination of the ears) to determine if the procedure will be a simple or complex simple or complex removal.
We use a gentle water irrigation method to clean out the ears and tools may be used for remaining pieces (forceps or curette).
We do not use a syringe for wax removals, as direct water pressure in the ears often causes discomfort.
-
Cost
Simple - Under 15 minutes; $45/ear.
Complex - Over 15 minutes; $75/ear.
There is a $20 otoscopy fee if there is no wax found and no removal is needed.
This procedure is not covered under OHIP.
